By The U.S Department of State. MODERATOR: Thank you, everyone, for attending today’s roundtable with Ambassador William Brownfield. He’s the Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs. He’ll give some remarks and you’ll have some opportunity for some Q&A. We just ask that before you ask your question if you will state your name and media affiliation for the record. Thank you.
AMBASSADOR BROWNFIELD: I see no cameras, except for that one, which we control. If it does not offend the lady and gentlemen of the press, I shall join three of you in uncoated splendor and allow you to admire my handsome suspenders as well.
AMBASSADOR BROWNFIELD: That’s – and I deeply appreciate that. Ladies and gents, as you’ve just heard, I am Bill Brownfield and I am the Assistant Secretary for Drugs and Law Enforcement from the Department of State, responsible for all of our overseas – our international programs related to drugs and other transnational organized crime and programs to support police and rule of law.
